The Evanston Work Ethic Program was founded in 2016 by Hecky Powell as part of the Forrest E. Powell Foundation.  For more than 20 years, the FEP Foundation has celebrated the positive effects of a solid work ethic throughout the Evanston Community.  Whether granting scholarships to students seeking technical education after high school, or bestowing the annual Work Ethic award on a hard-working adult who has made a difference, the FEP Foundation promotes and exemplifies the creed of its namesake, Forrest E. Powell, who said, "Whatever you do, be the best you can be at it."  The Evanston WE Program has a separate  501(c)3, even as it remains a part of the Forrest E. Powell Foundation and it continues to address its founder's mission of assisting and honoring hard working individuals.  For more information regarding the Forrest E.
