The WE Program was founded in 2017 by Hecky Powell to support youth interested in alternative career paths.
Hecky had a passion for working with youth to prepare them for a successful future.
The WE Program operates as an independent 501c3 nonprofit and the Board and Executive Director are committed to continuing Hecky’s legacy as a leader and mentor to young people.
We are making Hecky’s vision a reality!

The WE Program’s mission is to empower young people ages 17-23 to pursue meaningful and successful careers in the tech and trades.
We provide career focused internships, career exploration programs, mentors, tours, individualized career coaching, a group networking and support experience, and interactive youth-focused workshops in financial literacy, communication at work and much more!
